Carvoeiro

Carvoeiro, on the Portugese Algarve, is a charming resort with plenty of appeal for families looking for a relaxing villa holiday in the sun.
Originally a small fishing village, the resort has grown over the years, but has still managed to retain much of its charm.
Carvoeiro is very popular for family holidays - there is a fantastic range of self-catering accommodation locally. And all the things you are likely to need during your holiday can be found in the town centre.
There is a huge selection of bars, restaurants and cafés all within easy walking distance of the centre and with a wide choice of food ranging from traditional Portuguese cuisine to Indian, Chinese or Italian. Nightlife is relaxed - there are a couple of clubs and sports bars which provide entertainment late into the night.
The small beach, Praia do Carvoeiro, is in a bay sheltered by cliffs. Jetskis and pedaloes are available for hire and there are diving schools based in Carvoeiro. Boat trips are also available around the coast to see the caves.
Golfers are well served by several good courses nearby and there is also tennis, walking, horse-riding, and deep sea fishing. There are also two water parks in the area.
